La Villa Arnaga, Une Demeure d’exception

La Villa Arnaga, à Cambo-les-Bains, est une somptueuse demeure néo-basque conçue par Edmond Rostand. Entourée de magnifiques jardins à la française et à l’anglaise, elle abrite aujourd’hui un musée dédié à l’auteur de Cyrano de Bergerac, son épouse et ses deux enfants, mêlant art, littérature et nature dans un cadre exceptionnel.

Edmond Rostand, author of Cyrano de Bergerac, planted the house of his dreams in a lush green setting. Walking around the Versaille garden, the walker will discover beds of flowering plants, pergolas and stretches of water. Inside this Neo-Basque style villa can be found an original collection of objects and works of art evoking the famous writer and his family through the 19-room newly restored house. Listed as a Historical Moneument and Museum of France. The Arnaga Gardens have also been honoured with the label "Remarkable Garden". Majestically laid out against the blue hills, the French-style garden unfolds at the foot of the residence like a theatre set, associating the three elements : mineral, plant life and water.
